30 smokers rounded up
KIDAPAWAN CITY
POLICE rounded up 30 persons here on Saturday for defying a smoking ban.
Tony Nidamo, Civil Security Unit chief, said most violators were tricycle drivers and dispatchers.
Violators were fined P150 each. Those who could not pay were made to render two hours of community service.
Nidamo said the city is strictly enforcing a ban on smoking mandated by an executive order of the mayor, Rodolfo Gantuangco. Williamor A. Magbanua, Inquirer Mindanao
