Teodoro, who recently resigned as Defense chief for his presidential bid, said he could not refuse the invitation of Rep. Codilla, who is a former colleague in Congress.

Teodoro in his short message said that he was so thankful of the presence of those people because they are considered the grassroots leaders of the party. “I could see how important local leaders are because without them, no presidential candidate would win,” said Teodoro.
He said that Pres. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo has been supportive of the district attributing to the many projects outgoing Rep. Codilla delivered. Codilla will be replaced by his son, Eufrocino, Jr.
Teodoro continued that the good financial administration of the President, the country was better off financially than the neighboring countries in Asia, which felt the burnt of the global financial crisis.
“(And) because of this good administration, the government was able to deliver goods to the countrysides, including the 4th district, which is blessed with projects.
He disclosed that everything is ready for the national convention of the party today and that he and his running mate former Optical Media Bureau chief Edu Manzano are ready for the convention.
