Maasin City solon pledges to build Abgao elementary school

Maasin City (July 7) — As soon as the road right of way will be finally negotiated, Maasin City Mayor Maloney L. Samaco sweared to establish an elementary school in Barangay Abgao with Grades 1 ? 6 levels, this he shared during the inter-agency convergence meeting held recently.
No less than Representative Roger G. Mercado of the lone district of Southern Leyte have started to develop the opening of a new road on top of the elevated portion of Barangay Abgao, however, the road right of way which will traverse a private property is still under negotiation.
The opening of a new elementary school right at the heart of the city will surely decongest the overcrowded Maasin Elementary Central School located at Brgy. Tunga-tunga, which is serving the children coming from at least four poblacion barangays of Abgao, Tunga-tunga, Tagnipa and Combado, all of Maasin City, it was learned.
Mayor Samaco also disclosed of his earlier commitments to help the Matin-ao and Hinapu Daku, both elementary schools to become an integrated school. Even as he desired that all elementary schools in the city must be complete in all levels.
That he was able to visit personally all the schools, both for elementary and high schools under the Maasin City Division.
Mayor Samaco is a strong advocate of Oplan Balik Eskwela campaign which is not limited during the campaign period, but carried out his version of MASAM Oplan Balik Eskwela throughout the whole year.
Where the good mayor continues, as of this writing, to bring the city employees, healthly city enforcers, engineering brigade to carry out the painting, repair of school buildings and facilities, distribution of notebooks, bags, slippers, amonth others to almost all of the schools in the city.
